Went to China for Thanksgiving week. Seeing our mom's dad for the first time was a unique experience. He was very jovial and talked a lot. Seeing the village in which he grew up and still lives was exciting. The old world charm of the brick houses and the clean, verdant air was endearing. Seeing his home was oddly nostalgic. We met other family as well and had a lot of time to talk, catch up, and eat (lots of hot pot and dim sum). The trip itself was a little short, but we used our time wisely. Our cousin's husband drove us around everywhere. It was very nice. Our other cousin put us up for a night as well. That was after 2 days in HK and 2 days in Guangzhou, where we shopped for many things, including Anna's chinese dresses and other wedding paraphenilia.
Getting back, I did not experience that massive jet lag until Wednesday when I slept all the way till Thursday at 7 am, almost late for work. Just a relaxing weekend now. Wheeee!
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

Hihihi everyone!
It looks like another year of school is speeding by. It has been nearly 4 weeks since I started back at work and it already seems as if I have been there forever..hehe. Anyway, we just had our back to school night and it was pretty well attended. I even saw a former student who is doing very well for himself. It was good to see that students come back and tell us of their successes.
Fanime is starting up again with meetings and all that jazz. I think it will be a good year. I became Ops 2nd this year and hope to assume more responsibilities and help out more...especially since I am done with my Master's.
I am currently listening to Milk, Inc and Stephanie Mcintosh. Both are the kind of pop music I like to listen to and their entire albums are pretty good.
I just got another phone..I know...too many. But, I hope I keep this one for awhile. It is a Noka N73 and I like it so far. Of course, I JUST got it...so, who knows?...haha.
My family and I are planning a trip to China for the Thanksgiving holiday to visit my grandfather. I am not going to enjoy getting shots just to go International. But, alas, it will be fun as well. I just hope the airline lines and baggage checks will not be delayed or anything like that.
Well, I must be off for some dinner. Hope to hear from you soon!

Today is my last day at Intel. It has been a growing and learning experience. We were able to share our experiences and learnings through a powerpoint presentation that showcased the affect our time at Intel had on us. Now, it is time to move on. The school year starts on Monday, 8/21 and I am already anxious to begin. I was able to get student lists and other materials ready, but feel I have to get into the classroom to really get some stuff done, like copies and the like.
Congratulations to my sister and Ben! Finally....lol!
Hope everyone is doing well!
